Materials & Manufacturing

What is the difference between inlay logo mats and jet-printed mats?
Jet-printed mats have ink sprayed lightly onto the surface fibers. Like a printed t-shirt, this ink inevitably fades and scratches off under heavy foot traffic. At King Logo Mats, we exclusively use precision inlay technology. Your corporate logo is CNC-cut from separate pieces of solution-dyed nylon and permanently bonded into the mat's substrate. This means the design is physical, not printed, ensuring it lasts the lifetime of the mat without degrading.
Why do cheap entrance mats curl at the edges?
Edge-curling—a massive liability and trip hazard—is caused by cheap PVC or vinyl backings reacting to temperature changes and foot traffic. We eliminate this issue entirely. Our mats are constructed with 100% ISO-grade Nitrile-EX Rubber backings. Nitrile remains permanently flexible, lays dead flat, resists industrial oils, and provides superior non-slip grip on tile, wood, and polished concrete.
What is the pile material made of?
The face of our commercial mats is made from High-Twist, Heat-Set Nylon 6.6. This specific fiber construction is engineered to aggressively scrape dirt and absorb up to 80% of moisture at the door. It is highly crush-resistant, meaning it bounces back even when subjected to high-volume commercial foot traffic daily in retail shopping centers.
Can I use your branded mats outdoors?
Our standard Nylon 6.6 mats are primarily designed for indoor walk-off zones or covered outdoor entrances (like under an awning). While they are highly UV-resistant, if you require a mat that will be fully exposed to harsh rain and elements, please notify our sales team so we can quote you on our specialized outdoor rubber scraper mats.

Sizing & Design Specifications

Are your custom mats wheelchair friendly and ADA compliant?
Yes. Our commercial mats feature a highly accessible low-profile pile (approx. 7mm to 9mm thick). Furthermore, they are manufactured with ramped, beveled rubber borders. This allows wheelchairs, shopping trolleys, and delivery carts to roll over them smoothly without catching or snagging.
What file format do you need for my corporate logo?
For the sharpest CNC precision cutting during the inlay process, we require Vector Artwork. Acceptable formats include .PDF, .AI (Adobe Illustrator), .EPS, or .SVG. If you only have a high-resolution JPEG or PNG, send it to us anyway; our design team will assess if it can be successfully vectorized for production.
Do you offer Pantone color matching?
Yes. Because we deal with major corporate entities across South Africa, brand consistency is paramount. We maintain a vast inventory of solution-dyed nylon colors and provide highly accurate Pantone color matching to ensure strict adherence to your brand's corporate identity guidelines.
Do you manufacture custom sizes and long hallway runners?
Absolutely. While we carry standard commercial sizes (e.g., 85x150cm, 115x180cm, 150x240cm), we are a direct manufacturer. This allows us to create bespoke sizes, shapes, and extra-long runner mats to perfectly fit custom architectural recesses, recessed matwells, or long corporate corridors.

Pricing & Logistics

Is there a Minimum Order Quantity (MOQ)?
No. Our minimum order quantity is exactly 1 unit. Whether you are a small business needing a single personalized welcome mat in Sandton, or a national franchise needing 500 promotional floor mats rolled out across KZN and the Western Cape, our manufacturing facility scales to your exact needs.
How long does manufacturing and delivery take in South Africa?
After you approve the free digital artwork mockup and finalize payment, custom production takes 7 to 10 working days. We then dispatch via our nationwide courier partners. Deliveries to major hubs like Johannesburg, Pretoria, and Cape Town typically take an additional 2-3 days.
What are your delivery fees?
Delivery is completely free within the Seaview, Durban area. For all other provinces, a standard courier delivery fee applies based on the volumetric weight of your custom floor mats. This fee will be transparently included in your initial quotation so there are no hidden surprises.
Do you offer trade discounts for resellers and agencies?
Yes, we offer tiered pricing and trade discounts for marketing agencies, interior designers, and promotional product resellers who order in high volumes. Please contact our sales team directly at sales@kinglogomats.co.za to discuss opening a trade account.

Care & Warranties

How do I deep clean my industrial logo mat?
For daily maintenance, standard industrial vacuuming is highly effective. Because our mats are made from heavy-duty nylon and nitrile rubber, they are fully water-resistant. For deep cleaning, they can be hosed down, scrubbed with mild detergent, or cleaned using commercial hot water extraction (steam cleaning) machines. Ensure they are laid flat to dry.
How long will my custom logo mat last?
Lifespan depends entirely on foot traffic volume and maintenance. In standard corporate offices, our inlay mats easily last 3 to 5 years. In extremely high-traffic retail environments, you can expect 1 to 3 years of premium performance before the walk-off capabilities begin to degrade.
Do you offer installation services?
No installation is required! Our entrance mats are designed as "loose-lay" products. Thanks to their heavy nitrile rubber backing, you simply unroll them at your entrance and they will immediately grip the floor and stay securely in place without the need for adhesives or permanent fixtures.

Commercial Matting Glossary

Understanding industry terminology helps you make informed procurement decisions.

Walk-off System
A matting strategy designed to physically scrape, trap, and hold dirt and moisture at the building threshold before it can be tracked onto interior floors.
Nitrile Rubber
A synthetic rubber copolymer that is highly resistant to oil, fuel, and other chemicals. It is superior to PVC as it does not crack or curl over time.
Inlay Process
A manufacturing technique where a logo is physically cut out of different colored carpet materials and pieced together (like a puzzle) rather than printed on top.
Pile Height
The thickness of the yarn or fibers extending above the backing of the mat. A lower pile height is generally better for wheelchair access.
Solution-Dyed
A process where color is added to the liquid polymer before it is extruded into yarn, meaning the color goes all the way through the fiber, preventing fading.
